(WSW 11) Wells 4 and 11 Treatment Facility
Project Update January 2008
During the Fall 2007, the underground piping to connect the new Wells 4 and 11 Treatment Facility to the District's system was completed. Construction of the building to house the treatment facilities for Wells 4 and 11 began in January. The filters and chemical feed systems will be installed during the spring, and the wells will be in operation in time to meet peak summer demands. See Building Profiles.
See Capital Improvement Projects Figure The District is beginning clearing and grading of its existing Well 4 site in preparation for construction of a new treatment facility in 2007. The new facility will treat water from Wells 4 and 11 to remove manganese, a naturally-occurring mineral that can cause staining of plumbing fixtures and laundry. Questions and Comments
