DRILLING OF WELL 13R

PROJECT UPDATE (MARCH 25, 2005)

The Well 13R project consists of drilling, construction, installation, development, and testing of one well 1,100-feet in depth by direct mud rotary and rotary reverse circulation method. Well 13R will be a drinking water production well located next to the District’s existing Well 13 in Township 25 North, Range 6 East, in the SW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 12, King County, Washington.

Schneider Equipment Inc. has drilled a 17.5-inch diameter hole to a depth of 813-feet below the ground surface (bgs). They have installed and placed a 12-inch casing to a depth of 791-feet (bgs). The well driller is now in the process of sealing the area between the 17.5-inch hole and the 12-inch casing. Once this is complete the well driller will drill a 12-inch diameter hole from the top of the aquifer (approx. 813-ft bgs) through the bottom of the aquifer (approx. 1100-ft bgs), using the reverse circulation drilling method. The drilling process should be complete by the second week of April 2005. After the drilling is completed a survey of the hole will be conducted, the well screens will be manufactured and installed, and test pumping of the well will be performed.
