Conservation Information for Customers
Are you interested in reducing water use in your home and saving money? The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District has a variety of brochures and conservation items to help you find ways to conserve water. Informational brochures and pamphlets are available on topics such as reducing water indoors, conducting a home water audit, doing a tuna can test, finding and fixing leaks, caring for your lawn naturally, and waterwise gardening. We also offer children's activity books as well.
Home water conservation kits are also available free of charge to District customers. The kits contain a toilet displacement device, a toilet fill cycle diverter, a 1.5 gallon per minute showerhead, toilet leak detection tablets, and a faucet aerator.
We also have five minute shower timers, rain gauges for efficient lawn watering, hose nozzles with six water saving settings, and a rain sensor for home automatic irrigation systems. All of these items are free of charge to District customers (there is a limit of one item per customer).
PLEASE NOTE: These items are available to District customers only. You must be a Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District water or sewer customer in order to be eligible to receive these items.
We can mail your conservation items to you, or feel free to stop by our office to pick them up. Our office hours are from 8:00 - 4:30, Monday through Friday. Please call Janet Sailer, Conservation Specialist at (425) 392-6256 for more information. |
