2009 FOG Regulations

Adopting New Regulations for Control of Fats, Oils, and Grease

On January 5, 2009, the Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District Board of Commissioners passed Resolution No. #3778 that regulates the discharges of fats, oil & grease (FOG) into the District's sewer collection system.

Under the new regulations, industrial or commercial establishments particularly food preparation and serving facilities, will be required to pump the waste out of the grease interceptor every 60 days or oil/water separator every 90 days.
